Modular furniture inspired by Tetris doubles as a chair and a side table without so much as a hinge.
Sitter Chair designed by Liam de la Bedoyere of Bored Eye is made of two chunky, L-shaped modules.
One in bold mustard yellow and the other in deep charcoal gray, both lock together like puzzle pieces.
Yellow section functions as a side table with a cut-out leg, while the darker piece forms a boxy chair with exaggerated block geometry.
Originally dreamed up as a 3D-printed concept, it has evolved into a functional sculpture, half furniture, half adult-sized building block.
Who says brutalism can’t be cozy? Sitter Chair is wrapped in soft fabric like a hug from a square robot.
Architecturally intriguing. Surprisingly comfortable. Basically the furniture equivalent of a brooding genius.
Sitter Chair doesn’t recline, rock, or swivel. It just sits there, looking cool and holding your drink.
Wrapped in wooly fabric, the Sitter Chair softens its rough edges without losing its sculptural punch.
The Sitter Chair looks like a furniture prototype that walked off the 3D printer and got upholstered on the way out.
