Now THIS is actually a good idea! You could bike to work and keep your bike in your cubicle where it won’t get stolen.

That is pretty dope! No more having people mess with your spokes while riding and cause you to crash.

Where do the wheels and handle bars go when you fold it up?

I think a side-on photo of when folded would be helpful- I suspect the wheels don’t fold down, but everything folds down around the wheels. Very clever, practical.

I love this idea! I’m not so sure about the backpack (as in the video). I’d be reluctant to put too much of my stuff in the wheels in case they got covered with dirt or grease, but I guess you wrap them in a plastic bag first. It would be a great way to cut down on luggage when you travel, and no waiting for a taxi when you get to your destination, just grab out the bike and off you go.

Who ever engineered this bike must not be an avid cyclist. A razor scooter would be a more efficient mode of transportation with better portability. its Drive train is friction based?! and it doesnt use a gates carbon belt drive?? Also appears as though you’d wash out on the rim while leaning. “Looks” nice though.

It is misleading.
Though it can be folded shorter than some types of umbrella, the bike’s width (the wheel’s diameter) is still several umbrella width.

If it’s so easy to fold then why don’t they show it in the video?
@Rob
Seriously, what kind of evil people do you hang out with?

I’m confused. Folding bikes have been around for ages. I see them on the train almost every day here in the UK. The hubless wheels are new to me, though. That’s pretty interesting.
