I remember when i was younger, the local bait shop near my lake house had an after hours bait vending machine. it was just an old soda vending machine with Styrofoam containers with worms and dirt in them. you could select what kind of worms you wanted from night crawlers, to blood worms, to garden worms, and salmon eggs.

In my city, Edmonton Alberta, the public library has a vending machine in one of our train stations where you can take out books, and then go and return them when they’re due. It’s all hooked up to the library database. Very cool, and very useful.
