..Wow,
Not only are “Travellers” up their own arses whilst visiting the exact same places every other “traveller” visits.
They are now taking their condescension to the world of art.

So pretentious. What i see here is more like the difference between travelling conventionally and backpacking. That’s what the labels should be….. TRAVELLING VS BACKPACKING…. not TOURIST VS TRAVELLER. A tourist is a traveller! A traveller is a traveller. That’s all it means.

Besides, even if this distinction were legit….. EVERYONE starts as a tourist, then develops into being a traveler… therefore TOURIST VS TRAVELLER is redundant and insignificant because it is like comparing a BEGINNER to a PROFESSIONAL.

Lol so many butthurt tourists in the comments.
As a traveler I can say “FREEEEEDOOOOM!” I speak 4 languages fluent because of my travel and had visited many natural resorts. I’ve also got to know many cultures unlike tourists which are ignorant selfish harmful pricks.
The selfie stick vs pro camera is a spot on.

I travel, but I like to have a room when I need to rest, to shower and to sleep in a bed.
I travel, but I don’t necessarily goes to touristic places. But exploring the area to find my own place of interest
I travel with my phone camera but, I don’t do selfies. Instead I capture what my eyes see.
I like to travel, but also like to enjoy having comfort during my travel.
Those poster is not correct.
So please, don’t try to be condescending and brag of how many unpaved trails, or how many language you have known. Not everyone have the same taste and destination of interest in traveling. Not all travelers like to rough it out.
Besides, when you are in a new place, in the eyes of the locals, you are a tourist – a visitor that is touring, exploring their place.
