Art of Concept
Uhm…if it has more or less than 2 wheels then it’s not a bicycle…some are just weird, especially the Backwards Tricycle!

The “Ski Bike” concept is good but I don’t know if it will be easy to paddle this bike on snow or not?

I don’t see the point of having that treadmill bike. Hello, jogging.

Treadmill bike: because biking ISN’T a workout now?
Also, knowing how small wheels tend to skip and shudder with any speed, the shopping cart bike seems totally ridiculous.
The trailer bike is very nice though, much more balanced than a regular kid’s seat.

Quadracycle, beats the fuel prices of carrying yourself and others! :)
Tandem looks fun, me and my friends from church in the park, lol! :D

I think we have discussed the un-feasibility of the treadmill bike on this site before. The recumbent trike looks great though, it looks like it would be much easier to get in and out of than a regular recumbent.

Canadian
The “ski bike” was invented and is made right here in Canada. It’s getting really popular too! Click the link to go to their website and watch the videos if you have any doubt about it working. It works amazingly! And it isn’t any harder at all than riding a regular bike.

Treadmill bike: you get the same effect by not spending a large amount of money and NOT looking like a tool.

funny
The treadmill bike is not a real product. It’s a joke. It’s a spoof on all the gadgets and tools to get lazy americans to exercise when they could easily just go for a jog, or ride a bike. Seriously, look into it – they have videos with it that are absolutely hilarious!

Didn’t the Chuckle brothers have a Quadracycle? No, they had the FIRST Quadracycle. Ever.

The ‘backwards tricycle’ is just a tadpole recumbent trike – there are a fair few of them around. Its the carbon frame and high-spec design that makes that innesenti trike pretty awesome.
The great long tandem reminded me of the pedouins, a family who are travelling thousands of miles on a quint, and the fietsorkest – a pedal powered brass band all on one bike! Both of which can be found here if you’re interested: http://cyclorama.net/viewSubject.php?id=7&subject=Ingenious

I agree with Camilla. The “backwards tricycle” is a fairly standard design for recumbent trikes. There are probably a hundred different manufactures making vehicles in this design (with probably the Australian firm of Greenspeed the most well known). Also, I wonder about the inclusion of the “Trailer Bike.” Is this design considered unusual? I have one in my garage and I see them everywhere. I guess maybe you just had to find 10 examples for your list.

That backwards tricycle is just plain stupid!!
Wait till that rider gets her hair caught in the back wheel, and then we’ll decide what great piece of design and engineering it is!!
