Modular chair with customizable body made of squishy tubular noodles held together by 3D-printed transparent hexagonal frame.

The Noodle Chair designed by Liam de la Bedoyere features a cluster of tubular cushions, or “noodles,” standing upright like soft pillars.

Cylindrical noodle cushions come in two lengths that create a staggered landscape that looks a bit like a field of black marshmallows.

The base of Noodle Chair is a 3D-printed hexagonal frame shaped to hold the noodles in place without the need for tools.

Depending on how you arrange the cushions, the Noodle Chair can look uniform and geometric or like a slightly chaotic sculpture.

Do not like the way Noodle Chair looks today? Shuffle the noodles around like Tetris pieces until you do.

Why is it called the Noodle Chair? Because every cushion is a squishy tube of comfort you can slot into place.

During development, the designer used miniature 3D-printed models and prototypes to refine the concept and ensure ergonomic functionality.
