Just escaped
I find some of these photos a bit on the freaky side due to the totally unnatural positions they have been put in

I especially love the photos of twins, who look quite instinctive and natural, as though in the womb. In fact, all the photos seem to reflect positions in the womb.

I totally agree. It looks so uncomfortable, especially those wrapping ones….

Babies actually like being smooshed up into balls, it’s the last thing they remember from the womb. Super cute.

How wonderfully agile we are before birth…and these precious ones find comfort no matter where their toes are! FABULOUS!

I honestily held my breath, imagining how these photos were taken. it’s beautiful but it bothers me. shucks, even if it is for art or for a cause, I wouldn’t do these to babies. if the photographer felt nice after taking these, that’s quite selfish. but anyway, beautiful photos, at least the unheard struggles of the babies were not put to waste, still i don’t know if this is right.

They are cute, even though as one said, a little bit on the freaky side. Sometimes I wondered if they were actually live ones… Especially disliked the second last. Apart from that they were still pretty cute.

We did similar photos as these. Form my experience; my daughter really never knew what was going on. Our photographer only takes newborns up to 10 days. After that according to her, they are not as receptive to go asleep nor are they as pliable.
I can tell you from our session (though it may look unnatural in some of the shots), for us it was just the opposite, completely natural. Basically the kid is asleep. The studio was very very warm, there was a heated fan blowing on low on crazy fluffy/soft table and she had a white noise device turned up.
I almost fell asleep a few times during the shoot.
