Sleepbox is a self-contained room that can be placed in almost any location.
Designed by Russian architecture firm Arch Group, each box is equipped with two beds, LED reading lamps, WiFi, electrical outlets, and plenty of storage space for your luggage.
First sleepbox was installed at Sheremetyevo airport in Moscow. Travelers can rent the room and sleep for several hours. [photos by Ilya Ivanov]

Great concept. Would love to see this in airports all over for long layovers!

This looks really practical. It would be a life-saver for those layovers that are too short for going sight-seeing and too long on sitting around.

I want that as my room.

Love it! All airports need them :) would be great for layovers in the middle of the night when you just want to sleep or need some space. Maybe they could make a few of these a bit bigger so they could contain a shower and toilet?!

Sleep box is a great idea especially for those times where I just need a nap or just to get away from everyone.

Cool, but not new. A company tried this about 15 years ago with a product called “Ziosk” in airports in the U.S. Unfortunately, the idea didn’t catch on with travelers and the units were removed from the terminals.

Not that it matters, but, that was the most useless video ever.

Forget airports, this would be perfect for college campuses. Especially in city schools that have several commuter students and professors.

I think they need it at all universities too. Definitely need to put a time limit on that tho.

As long as it keeps the noise out and I can shut all of the shades, I think it would work!

We’ll _all_ be living in those when the economy tanks and the US becomes a giant slum. OTOH, if that babe was in there with me, I don’t think there’d be a lot of sleeping going on, if you get my drift… XD
