Kevin Cyr has created a pedal powered recreational vehicle for camping.
The artist describes this three wheeled bike as a stand alone sculptural piece and the subject of a series of paintings.

How can this be so similar to Hong Kong Artist Kacey Wong’s Wandering Home 2008 Version…?

@Pomme, makes perfect sense to me. Chinese people are excellent at making fake designer handbags so why not a bicycle home? :D

i know right? when i first saw it i thought it was an inflatable house (!). as in, each cycle you make powers a pump that’ll blow up the house, so by the time you’re done traveling from point A to point B, you have a nice place to rest in.

how can you repair a flat back tire?

It looks like it would flip backwards if you walked to the back inside it.

Pretty small sleeping space. You had better like laying in the fetal position a lot.

I will stick to backpacking and tents, thanks. Not a horrible concept, just not very appealing to me personally.

Awesome! It would be interesting trying to ride it if it was a bit windy. On the other hand, it’d shield you from the rain & sun while you rode :-)

Very convenient, but the door is very narrow

It seems like it’s so easy to tip this over. To bad for the homeowner if someone decides to do this while he’s sleeping inside.

How the hell are you supposed to sleep in that thing? Even curled up in the fetal position I couldn’t fit up on the top. I’m better off with a tent.

Looks like it would tip over when occupied, and it must be hard to peddle the bike w/all that weight. Should have constructed it of a lighter, reinforced material.

This picture is what inspired me to try to build a mobile house bike or homeless people. Here in Chicago they are constantly harassed by police and their belongings are thrown out. My design will be different than this, but will hopefully provide a place for them to keep their stuff, and a slightly better place to sleep than on the sidewalk with cardboard and piles of blankets.
So thank you for building this house bike!
